Failand Paper Services Ltd was founded in May 1983 by my father, Peter Dyer Senior, who has worked within the waste paper industry since 1950. From the outset we were involved in the collection and processing of waste paper, based in our factory in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, U.K., supplying a number of the UK and European Mills.
In April 1994, my father, now approaching retirement age, decided to close down the factory and concentrate on trading waste paper and reusable paper stock, working from offices in Clifton, Bristol, U.K.
In October 1995, I (Peter Dyer) took over the running of the firm with a view to increasing the tonnage that we traded. Utilising our two generations’ worth of experience, our business has gone from strength to strength; we have increased the tonnage traded and the number of Mills we supply, gaining a good track record and in turn a reputation for supplying high quality tonnage.
Failand Paper Services Ltd is now an established waste paper brokers, based in Clifton, Bristol, U.K. We trade in all grades, from the lower end of the market all the way through to pulp substitutes, dealing mainly within U.K. and mainland Europe markets. We always aim to provide an efficient, professional service, and endeavour to meet the needs of Suppliers and Mills alike. Whatever your requirements, however small or large, regular or infrequent, commonplace or unusual, we are always happy to help.
We have recently launched the F.P.S. Waste Management Consultancy, providing a one-stop service for waste management; professional, proactive and economical. Our integrated service includes advice, tender analysis, individually tailored waste management solutions, and management of and liaison with waste companies. In addition, we ensure that our clients’ legal obligations towards waste storage and handling are fulfilled. F.P.S. also aim to promote the recycling of waste wherever possible, passing any financial benefit directly to our client.
